I met James at a show in Fitzroy a few years back and was taken back by his honest and succinct lyrics.
Despite this song being a recent work, James plays all of his his songs in a unique and heartfelt way that suggests that they were written only minutes before the performance.
During the editing process for this particular song, I felt compelled, many times, to stop working on it and simply listen to it in it’s entirety.
The Motorbike song was only weeks old when Jim played it here and it tells a moving story about bereavement and a road trip he took to explore his feelings and love for his Mum who passed away months before.
